Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Training Coordinator to join our domiciliary care team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in health and social care who is passionate about developing others and promoting high standards of care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and supporting training across a range of mandatory and specialist subjects, helping to ensure our care staff have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Full support will be provided through our Train the Trainer programme, making this role suitable for candidates who have experience in care and an interest in moving into a training position.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to new and existing care staff.
· Support the delivery of mandatory training, including: Medication Administration, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Adults, First Aid, Infection Prevention and Control, Health and Safety, Dementia Awareness, Mental Capacity Act and DoLS, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and other training topics as required.
· Assess learner understanding and competency.
· Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
· Assist with induction programmes for new employees.
· Ensure training materials remain current and compliant with legislation and best practice.
· Support staff development and continuous professional learning.
· Work closely with management to identify training needs and implement development plans.
· Promote a positive learning culture throughout the organisation.
Essential Requirements
· NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
· Experience working within domiciliary care, home care, or a similar health and social care setting.
· Good understanding of medication administration, moving and handling, safeguarding, and first aid principles.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and basic IT systems.
· Passion for supporting and developing others.
Desirable Requirements
· Previous training or mentoring experience.
· Teaching or assessor qualifications.
· NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
· Knowledge of CQC regulations and care sector compliance requirements.
