Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team on a long-term residential apartment project, with an immediate start available for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must have proven experience within the trade, a strong work ethic, and take pride in delivering high-quality finishes. This role will include surface preparation, painting, decorating, and completing works in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for decoration and ensure they are ready for painting.
- Apply paints and decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces using brushes and rollers.
- Deliver high-quality finishing works within residential apartments and communal areas.
- Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards and programme deadlines.
- Protect existing finishes, fixtures and fittings whilst carrying out decoration works.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.
- Liaise effectively with site management regarding progress and any issues affecting delivery.
- Accurately mix and match paint colours where required.
- Inspect completed works and rectify minor defects to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Maintain tools, equipment and materials in good condition.
- Comply with all site health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator within residential or commercial construction projects.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Own tools and equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with site management.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
- Ability to work to programme deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Right to work in the UK.
