Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional dental team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clinicians, delivering high standards of patient care, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Dental Nursing Duties:
- Assist clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring optimal chairside support.
- Prepare surgeries before and after each patient, maintaining strict cross-infection control and sterilisation protocols.
- Ensure equipment and materials are available and maintained to the highest standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively.
- Support clinical audits, stock control, and compliance with CQC regulations.
- Provide high quality, friendly and compassionate patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing information on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualities and Experience
- GDC-registered and fully qualified Dental Nurse.
- Previous experience in a private or mixed dental practice is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills.
- A friendly, professional manner with a genuine focus on patient care.
- Confident using dental software (e.g. Dentally).
- Flexible and adaptable team player, able to prioritise effectively.
