Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Camp Manager to oversee the daily operations of our camp programme. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. As the Camp Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all campers while leading a team of staff members.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations of the camp, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and safely.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote learning and personal growth.
- Lead and supervise camp staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality childcare.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to foster a positive camp community.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all participants.
- Drive initiatives that enhance camper engagement and satisfaction.
- Monitor camper behaviour and address any issues promptly to maintain a harmonious atmosphere.
- Organise training sessions for staff on best practices in childcare and early childhood education.
Experience
- Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with children in various capacities, including nursery or camp environments.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs related to camp activities.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and well-being.

Qualifications
- Enhance DBS Certificate
- Level 3 in childcare qualification
- Experience in childcare or nursery settings
- Background in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, especially with children
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities
- Fluency in English language
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12-24 months
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
