Duties
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites following safety standards and technical specifications
- Conduct electrical wiring, connections, and testing of solar panels, inverters, and related components
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble mounting structures and secure electrical components
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and safety
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to diagnose faults accurately
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators when site preparation requires earthworks or foundation installation
- Weld metal parts or structures as needed for mounting systems or repair purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience working with electrical systems, especially in solar or renewable energy projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical assembly techniques
- Ability to operate excavators or similar heavy machinery is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work and construction sites
- Valid electrician certification or license as required by local regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
