Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Ground Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of outdoor construction, landscaping, and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our project sites. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will help support the smooth operation of ongoing projects, from site preparation to ongoing landscape maintenance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, construction, and equipment operation while contributing to high-quality outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, grass cutting, and mulching to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various construction and landscaping activities
- Support excavation work by assisting with the operation of excavators and other heavy machinery under supervision
- Perform routine maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Help install irrigation systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality for sustainable watering solutions
- Support site preparation activities including clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up materials for construction or landscaping projects
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to promote a secure working environment for yourself and team members
Experience
- Previous experience in construction, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with operating machinery such as excavators or power tools is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and basic maintenance tasks preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and outdoor work environments is essential
