Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Timber Framer / Joiner to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing timber frameworks with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to creating stunning, durable structures that blend traditional techniques with modern construction practices. Duties
- Fabricate timber components accurately according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Assemble timber frames using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to ensure structural integrity
- Cut, shape, and fit wood pieces with precision for seamless assembly
- Install timber structures on-site, including roof trusses, beams, and decorative features
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of large timber elements safely and efficiently
- Assist with roofing tasks, including framing and support structures as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in timber framing or joinery within a construction or carpentry setting
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with carpentry, joinery techniques, and construction painting is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on varied job sites
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, electrical systems or roofing is a plus but not mandatory
- Prior experience working with construction materials such as wood, masonry, or metal is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards
