About the role
We are looking for a Quality Advisor to support delivery across our Power T&D portfolio at Laleham Substation.
This role will support the project and quality teams in ensuring works are delivered in line with customer requirements, company procedures, industry standards and quality expectations. You’ll play a key role in driving compliance, supporting assurance activities and promoting a culture of Zero Harm and Right First Time across the project lifecycle.
Working closely with project delivery, design teams and supply chain partners, you’ll help coordinate inspections, assurance activities, audits and quality documentation to ensure high standards are consistently maintained.
What you'll be doing
- Support project teams in implementing quality plans and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
- Assist with assurance, compliance and quality verification activities across the project.
- Monitor quality deliverables and support resolution of quality-related issues.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections and reporting activities.
- Review supply chain quality submissions and support compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in collating and managing project handover documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement and support lessons learned initiatives.
- Support the use of digital quality and assurance systems across the project.
- Work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain quality standards.
- Champion Zero Harm and Right First Time delivery.
Who we're looking for
- Previous quality experience within construction, utilities, engineering or infrastructure environments.
- Level 4+ qualification in Quality, Construction, Manufacturing or equivalent relevant discipline.
- Understanding of ISO9001 terminology and Quality Management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation and reporting effectively.
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and digital management systems.
- CQI Practitioner status or working towards Practitioner level preferred.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor training.
- Experience using digital assurance or progressive assurance systems.
- Construction or asset management operational experience.
- Awareness of sector-specific certifications and compliance requirements.
