Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable ADHOC DX Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using flatbed vehicles, across various locations. Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries in compliance with all road safety and company regulations
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during transportation duties
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management
- Assist with loading and unloading as required, ensuring proper handling of goods
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, ideally with delivery driver background
- Competency in operating flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial drivers
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail for documentation purposes
- Flexibility to undertake ad hoc driving assignments as needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
