Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable team member to assist in our butchery unit on a permanent basis, assisting the butchery team with preparing, packaging and labelling fresh meat products.
We are looking for someone to join us on a full-time basis (Mon-Fri, 8 hour paid shift). We will provide all necessary training, including Food Handling & Hygeine certificate if you don't already have one. Previous experience is not necessary, we are looking for someone hard-working, reliable and outgoing to fit in with our friendly team.
We are loking to work towards a start date early-August but can be flexible for the right candidate.
Job description
- Packaging meat items to customer specification using vacuum packing machine, tray sealer and overwrapping machines
- Weighing and labelling items and packets for different customer specifications
- Picking customer orders
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace and assisting with daily, weekly & monthly cleaning
- Learning HACCP and Due Dilligence procedures and implementing these
- In time we hope that you will learn some basic meat preparation techniques including mincing, making sausage mixes, burger and meatball making, dicing and marinading
