Overview
We are looking for compassionate, patient, and reliable Female Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting a lady with a severe learning disability and autism within her own home.
The person we support is non-verbal and communicates through sounds, facial expressions, gestures, and behaviour. She enjoys music, singing, sensory activities, and community walks and thrives when supported by people who are calm, consistent, and caring.
This is a highly rewarding role where building trust, promoting independence, and providing person-centred support are at the heart of everything we do.
While not essential, applicants who speak Russian or Ukrainian would be particularly welcomed, as the person we support responds positively to familiar words and phrases from her native culture.
Duties
- Providing high-quality person-centred support.
- Supporting with personal care while promoting dignity and choice.
- Assisting with meal preparation and mealtime support.
- Supporting access to community activities, appointments, and walks.
- Encouraging participation in daily living skills and household tasks.
- Following Positive Behaviour Support strategies and care plans.
- Monitoring health and wellbeing and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Completing accurate daily records and documentation.
- Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Promoting independence, safety, and emotional wellbeing at all times.y

Previous experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, or complex support needs would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Pay: £12.81 per hour
