Skilled Machinist / Machine Shop Operator Oak Fabrication & Engineering Services Ltd – Hebburn
Oak Fabrication & Engineering Services Ltd is looking for an experienced machinist who can operate a range of machines within our busy engineering workshop. We specialise in precision turning, milling, CNC machining, fabrication and general engineering.
The Role You will be responsible for setting, operating and running multiple machines including:
· CNC machining centres
· CNC lathes
· Manual lathes
· Devlieg jig mills
· Horizontal borer
· Milling machines
· General workshop equipment
Key Responsibilities
· Machine setup, tooling changes and first-off inspection
· Reading and working from engineering drawings
· Producing high‑quality components to tight tolerances
· Maintaining machines and keeping the workshop organised
· Working safely and efficiently within a small team
· Supporting fabrication and general engineering tasks when required
About You
· Strong machining background (CNC + manual)
· Confident running multiple machine types
· Able to work independently and solve problems
· Good attention to detail
· Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
Hours & Pay Competitive rate based on experience. Part time position which could lead to a Full -Time roll. Immediate start available.
