Cook - Part time -----Daytime Hours.
This is a new business hoping to start operating in July.
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our small friendly team at 158 Sandy Row, Belfast, preparing hot and cold food and baked goods for takeaway customers, Monday to Saturday, 7am-3pm.
About the role
Permanent daytime position open 6days a week, working between 7am and 3pm, we are looking for 2 cooks with a split shift Monday to Wednesday and Thursday to saturday. Preparing breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and baked goods to a consistently high standard using agreed recipes. Opportunity to contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal specials.
What you'll do
Prepare and cook hot and cold food to order and in batches within agreed time frames.
Maintain excellent standards of personal, kitchen and food hygiene at all times.
Follow recipe specifications and portion controls to ensure consistency and minimise waste Manage storage, preparation, cooking, and labelling of food safely.
Carry out regular cleaning and sanitising of equipment, utensils and kitchen areas,Take part in stock control, including ordering ingredients and stock checks as required, Work closely with the owner and team to support smooth, friendly service.
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a cook in a café, bakery, deli or similar food business, A current Food Hygiene / Food Safety certificate, or willingness to complete one on appointment. Strong understanding of food safety and quality
standards.
Able to cope with busy periods, multi-task and use your initiative, Reliable organised and a good team player with good communication skills.
