Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their holistic development through engaging activities and personalised care. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical growth through personalised interaction and care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and management
- Lead small group activities, encouraging participation, curiosity, and independence
- Assist in organising daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play
- Manage classroom resources efficiently, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and accessible
- Uphold all safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality policies at all times
Requirements
- Minimum six months’ experience working with children in a nursery or early years education setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Solid understanding of childcare regulations and best practices in early years education
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while showing initiative and accountability
- Childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence preferred for transport duties
- A caring, patient, and creative attitude with genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
