As part of its next phase of growth, our client is looking for Business Development Representative to help expand and execute its B2B strategy across the UK mortgage market. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the mortgage intermediary ecosystem and has previous experience working with mortgage brokers, particularly in Buy-to-Let, landlord finance, property investment, second charge mortgages or specialist lending.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing relationships with mortgage brokers, mortgage clubs, mortgage networks and strategic distribution partners.
The Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and commercially focused individual with experience in B2B sales, partnerships or business development within the mortgage, property, financial services or technology sectors.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying, engaging and developing new B2B partnership opportunities across the mortgage sector. The successful candidate will help our client build a strong market presence among mortgage brokers, mortgage clubs, mortgage networks, packagers and related introducer channels.
This role will suit a proactive, relationship-led business developer who can open doors, qualify opportunities, nurture prospects and support the creation of scalable commercial partnerships. Previous exposure to brokers operating in Buy-to-Let, second charge, bridging, specialist lending or landlord-focused finance would be highly beneficial.
You will work closely with the leadership team to shape the go-to-market strategy, gather market feedback, and convert relevant opportunities into long-term commercial relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outreach campaigns targeting mortgage brokers, mortgage clubs, mortgage networks and other B2B mortgage distribution partners.
- Identify and qualify new partnership opportunities across the UK mortgage intermediary market, with a particular focus on brokers active in Buy-to-Let, second charge and specialist property finance.
- Build strong relationships with brokers, network representatives, club contacts, introducers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development of a clear B2B sales pipeline, from prospecting and initial engagement through to meetings, proposals and onboarding.
- Represent our client professionally in meetings, presentations, webinars, broker events and industry forums.
- Work with the leadership team to refine the company’s B2B proposition, messaging and partner value proposition.
- Gather feedback from brokers and distribution partners to help improve the product, service offering and commercial strategy.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and broker needs within the mortgage and financial services sector.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates and activity reporting.
- Support the development of marketing collateral, broker-facing communications and partnership materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure new partners are onboarded smoothly and receive a high-quality experience.
- Help our client build credibility and visibility across the mortgage intermediary market.
Qualifications
- Experience working with or selling into mortgage brokers, mortgage clubs, mortgage networks or financial intermediaries.
- Experience dealing with brokers active in Buy-to-Let, second charge mortgages, landlord finance, specialist lending, bridging finance or property investment finance is highly desirable.
- A good understanding of the UK mortgage market and the role of brokers, clubs, networks and lender distribution channels.
- A proven ability to generate leads, book meetings and develop commercial relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence speaking with senior stakeholders, brokers, business owners and commercial partners.
- A proactive and resilient approach to business development.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a pipeline effectively.
- Commercial curiosity and the ability to understand partner needs and translate them into opportunities.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative growth-focused team.

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
