Retail Supervisor – Kirkwall Store Full-Time, Permanent
Ready to take the next step in your career without leaving the island? We’re looking for a welcoming, proactive Retail Supervisor to join our close-knit, friendly team at Begg Shoes in Kirkwall.
If stepping into a supervisory role feels like a big leap, don’t worry—we’ve got your back. You don’t need previous retail management experience to succeed here. Whether you come from customer service, hospitality, or another team-focused background, we provide full support, hands-on mentoring from our local managers, and formal training (including certification from the Society of Shoe Fitters).
What You’ll Do
- Lead by Example: Deliver warm, exceptional service to our loyal local customers and guide the team on the shop floor.
- Learn the Trade: Build expert product knowledge and help present our seasonal ranges through eye-catching visual merchandising.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Assist with day-to-day operations, including stock management, keyholding duties, and fulfilling online orders.
- Get Creative: Help out with our local social media content, in-store events, and community connections.
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, supportive attitude and a passion for helping people.
- Experience in customer-facing or responsible team roles.
- Basic computer confidence for everyday store tasks (full system training provided).
