Job Summary
Professional Care Recruitment Ltd is looking for experienced, compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality, personalised care to adults with varying needs. Working across supported living and other care settings, you will help individuals live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and wellbeing. Responsibilities
· Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, hygiene and mobility, where required.
· Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, medication, shopping and household duties.
· Prepare nutritious meals that meet individual dietary needs and preferences.
· Encourage independence, choice and involvement in social and community activities.
· Provide companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce isolation.
· Support individuals to attend appointments, activities and community outings, including providing transport where required.
· Monitor health and wellbeing and report any changes or concerns promptly.
· Support individuals with behaviours that may challenge using appropriate, person-centred approaches.
· Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid where trained and required.
· Maintain clear, accurate and timely care records.
· Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and company policies.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year's experience working in a UK health and social care setting (essential).
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).
- Right to work in the UK (essential).
- Good written and spoken English.
- Caring, reliable, and professional with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with medication administration and behaviour management strategies
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
Mandatory Training
Applicants should ideally have up-to-date training in:

- Moving & Handling
- Medication Administration
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Health & Safety
- Mental Capacity Act (MCA) & DoLS
- Basic Life Support / First Aid (desirable)
