Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team and ensure the optimal performance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems across various facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting air conditioning units and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will help create comfortable indoor environments while ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Duties
- Install, test, and commission air conditioning systems in new construction or renovation projects, following detailed schematics and technical specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal functioning and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose issues with air conditioning units and mechanical systems using schematic diagrams and diagnostic tools; execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Lead maintenance teams or contractors during large-scale equipment repairs or system upgrades, providing clear instructions and oversight.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into project plans.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and associated mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing maintenance teams or supervising contractors on technical projects.
- Strong skills in equipment repair, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for coordinating system integration during building phases.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
