Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team, including washing vegetables, peeling, and chopping ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces are sanitized regularly to uphold health and safety standards
- Support with waste disposal and recycling procedures to keep the kitchen tidy and compliant with environmental policies
- Restock supplies such as utensils, cleaning products, and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in setting up dining areas or service stations during busy periods to facilitate efficient service
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Basic culinary knowledge including handling kitchen equipment safely
