KM ACCOUNTING AND BOOKKEEPING is a small, fast-growing Accountancy Practice in Havant dedicated to providing exceptional bookkeeping and accounting services. We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant/Bookkeeper who is eager to develop their skills and grow into an assistant accountant role.
Job Overview
This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in accounting and bookkeeping. As a Trainee Accountant/Bookkeeper, you will gain hands-on experience managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting team. This paid role is designed to nurture your professional growth while contributing to the efficient operation of our business. The ideal candidate will be AAT or equivalent qualified (part or fully) or qualified by experience. Relevant practice experience is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given. Fluent Bulgarian and English is a must.
This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in practice.
Duties
- Bookkeeping, bank statement reconciliations and general ledger entries
- VAT Returns preparation and submission
- Support the reparation of Company Year-End Accounts and Tax Returns
- Preparation of Personal and Sole Traders Accounts and Tax Returns
- Daily communications with clients via phone and email
- Review client financial data for accuracy, completeness and compliance
- Manage daily client queries and deliver a high standard of customer service
- Maintain internal control records including reminders and follow-ups
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, small business tax or relevant accounting course (AAT and equivalent)
- Familiarity with popular accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software tools and procedures
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Fluent in Bulgarian and English language
- Prior experience in accounts preparation or bookkeeping is advantageous but not required
