As a Band 6 Specialist Mental Health Nurse within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care within a Community Mental Health Team. Working as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team, you will support individuals with complex mental health needs through assessment, care planning and recovery-focused interventions. Key responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with complex mental health needs including risk assessment and care planning

Act as Named Nurse or keyworker managing a defined caseload and coordinating care effectively

Deliver and evaluate person-centred, recovery-focused interventions in community settings

Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and carers promoting dignity, respect and inclusion

Administer and monitor treatments and medications in line with policy and best practice

Provide supervision, support and leadership to junior staff and students within the team

Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure holistic and integrated care delivery
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration at RNMH or RN3 level

Demonstrable experience working within mental health services supporting complex patient needs

Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to continuous learning

Strong assessment, care coordination and clinical decision-making skills

Experience or knowledge of evidence-based psychological therapies or interventions

Proven leadership ability including supervision and delegation of tasks

Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to work autonomously
