Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting.
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all children feel encouraged to explore and learn.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment, ensuring safety standards are upheld.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to manage behaviour and promote social skills among children.
Skills
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A genuine interest in nurturing children's development through play-based learning.
- Ability to work within a team to support children, adapting environments to enhance learning experiences and interests.
