Fergusons Blyth Limited are a domestic and commercial removals specialist who have a positive reputation with customers across the North East.
Based at Cramlington near the junction of the A19 and A1, we operate from a state-of-the-art, purpose built facility that incorporates premier quality self-storage.
We are looking to add a 3.5 Tonne Removals Driver to our dedicated and enthusiastic team. Applicants must be target driven, highly motivated, preferably with removals industry experience. Our removals crews are the public face of the business. Removals drivers are 'hands on' so the role will involve not only the loading and unloading of vehicles, but also heavy lifting, dismantling furniture, wrapping & packing, giving top quality customer service. There could be the possibility of late finishes (as is the nature of the business), also occasional weekend work and some nights away from home. Early starts are a possibility, dependent upon the size of the jobs and their location. Despite this role being hard work physically, it can also be extremely rewarding.
Removals experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must be trustworthy, be able to work part of a team and have a friendly disposition. A Driving Licence is essential.
The basic job is Monday to Friday, with some occasional weekend work. You need to be prepared to do some occasional overnight travel around the UK. The role guarantees 40 hours per week, 20 days annual leave (which increases with service), plus Bank Holidays. NEST pension scheme, Death in Service Benefit are provided. Meal Allowance expenses are paid where applicable, as are nights out.
