Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer to lead our organization's efforts in maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance. Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the site's Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust QHSE policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Lead internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), quality assurance protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on quality assurance processes, ensuring products meet rigorous standards through detailed analysis skills.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on safety procedures, quality standards, and environmental practices to promote awareness and adherence.
- Investigate incidents or non-conformances thoroughly; prepare detailed reports and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance and quality management systems.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior QHSE Engineer or similar role within manufacturing, food processing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, quality assurance methodologies, and environmental management systems.
- Demonstrated analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), ISO standards knowledge, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience leading audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in manufacturing Quality and HSE roles.
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO14001 management and auditing.
- Practical experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Preferred
- Experience in hydraulic hose assembly, fluid power, mechanical assembly, or OEM manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent.
- Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
