Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care tailored to each child's individual needs, following detailed care plans to promote well-being and development
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement with children and their families
- Support children with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, educational activities, and recreational outings
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care activities to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards
- Assist in planning and implementing activities that encourage social skills, independence, and personal growth
- Transport children to appointments, activities, or outings as required
- Collaborate with other professionals in reviewing and updating education, health and care plans, including those led by education and health, or documents within the home
Qualifications and experience
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in working with Children and Young People (qualification title may vary) is desirable
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive for work-related duties preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices, including safeguarding, in residential care
- Ability to plan for and create engaging activities that promote learning, development and social interaction
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience, resilience, and a proactive mindset

Pay: £25,700.00-£32,000.00 per year
