Overview
Geotron UK have an immediate opportunity for a Lead Rotary Driller (with NVQ Level 2) to join the team based from our depot in East Manchester. Experience on Comacchio GEO multipurpose rigs or similar working on geotechnical and environmental site investigation and remediation programmes is required.
Duties will involve operation of drilling rigs (dynamic sampling, rotary coring (conventional/wireline)/open hole/geotechnical testing/sampling etc.), on-site project management, general rig maintenance, training and mentoring of assistant drillers plus a variety of ancillary activities such as concrete coring, hand digging, installation of monitoring/remediation wells, well development, well decommissioning etc.
Applicants must have a full UK drivers licence. An LGV licence (C, C1, CE or C1E) is advantageous (although not essential) as we mobilise rigs in our own transport trucks. LGV training is offered to lead drillers as required.
Additional tickets such as wheeled/tracked dumper, excavator, telehandler etc. are advantageous but not essential as training will be arranged as required.

Geotron work UK wide and when sites are out of commutable range you would stay in national hotel chain hotels (single occupancy) or air bnb accommodation pre-booked by the office support team. Expenses are reimbursed to standard limits with an extra overnight allowance when working away paid through payroll.

Pay: £36,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
