Due to high demand and growth, we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Hairdressing Tutor/Assessor to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will have the rewarding opportunity to teach and assess study programmes and apprentices at both Level 2 and Level 3 in Hairdressing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in hairdressing theory and practical skills.
- Provide personalised support and guidance to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Assess students' progress and performance in line with awarding body standards.
- Develop and implement effective teaching and assessment strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the quality of our hairdressing programmes.
Requirements:
- Qualified assessor with relevant assessing qualifications (e.g., TAQA/CAVA) and substantial experience in assessing hairdressing qualifications.
- Hold a Level 3 or above qualification in hairdressing.
- Previous experience teaching and/or assessing hairdressing qualifications, ideally at both Level 2 and Level 3.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education and empowering learners to succeed.
This role is part-time, consisting of 1-2 days per week depending on circumstances, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
The salary ranges depend on the applicant's experience, qualifications and/or requirement for additional training. Additional salary considerations will be given to applicants with an IQA qualification and experience.
