An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Quality Support Officer (QSO) to join the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) Team to work within Wandsworth. This is a part-time role (18.75 hours per week – working pattern Tuesday 0900-1700, Wednesday 0900-1700 and Thursday 0900-1300) on a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
The Family Nurse Partnership is an evidence-based home visiting programme for first time mothers. The programme is designed to support and improve the health, wellbeing and social outcomes of young mothers and their children.
This is a senior administrative role requiring a high standard of professional practice, along with strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4/level 9–4) or equivalent, or the ability to demonstrate comparable skills
- Experience in an administrative or clerical role with report writing skills and good attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using digital systems and standard office software
Recruitment process:
The interview will include an assessment and skills test, followed by a panel interview.
Key duties include:
Provide comprehensive data, administrative and clerical support to the FNP team ensuring work is accurate, timely and of a high standard.
Offer the family nurses practical assistance in preparing for visits, for example by printing and organising materials and resources, assembling equipment and kit for visits and activities. This includes physical and virtual resources.
To set up and maintain efficient office support systems, ensuring that FNP materials and resources are prepared promptly and efficiently organised to enable maximum clinical contact time for family nurses.
Build a good understanding of the importance of the clinical and performance review requirements of the FNP Information System (Turas) and the local clinical recording systems.
Use Turas reports and dashboards confidently, and support team members to access and use the system effectively (training can be provided where needed).
Support the supervisor in analysing team data in Turas and clinical records to provide accurate and timely reports as required.
To take a lead role in team data, role modelling a culture of learning and data analysis to support the whole team to use data effectively to inform clinical practice.
Carry out regular data quality checks within Turas, sharing findings with the supervisor and team.
Prepare and summarise data in preparation for standardised reports.
