Role Overview
We are looking for Community Care Worker within the Northallerton Area. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes. Your role is to support individuals to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life by assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and social engagement in line with individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Perform light domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Support medication prompting and basic health monitoring (as trained)
- Encourage social interaction, companionship, and community participation
- Follow individualised care plans and document care provided accurately
- Observe, record, and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional well-being
- Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries
- Comply with all organisational policies, safety procedures, and duty-of-care requirements
Skills and Experience
- Ability to deliver compassionate, respectful, and client-focused care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have worked in the UK within a social care setting for a minimum of 12 months
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic computer skills for care notes and reporting
- Resilient and supportive
- Speak flute English
