Crouch Butchers are recruiting for a permanent full time skilled Butcher or Butchers Assistant to join the team. The role will be based across two sites, mainly in Bearsted and providing holiday cover in Staplehurst.
The position is available with immediate start (if you would like), however we will wait for the right person to see out their current notice period properly.

THE COMPANY
Crouch Butchers have branches in Bearsted, Staplehurst and Wadhurst where they are not only known for their quality meat, but also renowned for their handmade pies, quiches, cakes, locally sourced ranges and so much more!
The role is based on 46.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday with days off being Sundays and another day off in the week.
Crouch Butchers has grown over the last few years and the retail customer base has followed suit with increasing numbers. The role is based in busy retail shops with plenty of daily / weekly variation.
Aside from excellent butchery ability, the most important attribute for this role is attitude and team work. However if you have transferable skills (such as a chef) and a can do attitude, then you would be considered for the role

The role requires candidates to demonstrate:
- Commitment, dedication and a willingness to learn (where appropriate)
- Accurate and high standards of butchery in all sectors
- Preparation of meat for retail customers
- Clean and hygienic working practices that adhere to food safety standards
- Flexibility to work in Crouch Butchers' other branches when required
The successful candidate will need:
- Strong English language skills in both spoken and written mediums
- Ideally 5+ years of butchery experience or similar industry experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent customer service
- To be punctual and highly motivated
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK Driving License

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Experience:
- Butchery : 2 years (preferred)
- Butchery Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Chef : 5 years (preferred)
