Axcis Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school near Kidderminster. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to support children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex additional needs.

This is a full-time Teaching Assistant job, starting in September, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. The successful candidate will support pupils aged 4-19 years, helping them access learning, develop independence, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people aged 4-19 with SEND and complex learning needs
- Work closely with pupils with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support
- Assist with learning activities, communication, and personal development
- Build positive and meaningful relationships with pupils
- Help create a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Support with personal care where required
- Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Comfortable providing personal care support
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm)
