In this role, you’ll support solicitors across a varied workload, assisting with legal research, drafting, client contact, hearing preparation and day-to-day file management.
What’s on Offer?
- Full-time or part-time hours available
- Competitive salary
- Small, thriving law firm with a strong reputation
- Hands-on legal experience and plenty of client exposure
- Suitable for candidates completing the LPC or SQE
- Can contribute towards a Future Trainee/SQE work portfolio
- Potential for a Training Contract or qualifying SQE experience in the future
We’re working with a well-regarded Brighton law firm looking for a Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join its team.
This is a particularly good opportunity for someone building their legal career who wants genuine hands-on experience, rather than a role focused purely on administration.
What Will You Be Doing?
You’ll be involved in:
- Legal research using Westlaw and Practical Law
- Preparing bundles for hearings
- Taking and preparing witness statements
- Drafting and proofreading legal documents
- Taking meeting notes
- Liaising with and meeting clients
- Managing files and completing administrative tasks
- Supporting the firm’s marketing, including social media, blogs and articles
Ideally, you’ll have achieved a 2:1 or above at undergraduate level and have completed the LPC. However, the firm will also consider candidates currently completing their LPC/SQE.
You’ll need strong attention to detail, good research skills and the confidence to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of tasks.

Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we work with law firms across the local area and would still be happy to hear from you.
Your application will always be discussed with you before your CV is submitted to any employer.
