Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly organised and technically skilled Technical Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team. This role plays a key part in keeping fabrication orders moving smoothly from enquiry through delivery to maintain excellent customer service standards. The position supports the technical team with order processing and following up live enquiries, coordinating production schedules, and booking in complete orders for both UK and international delivery. This involves regular liaison with internal departments and customers over the phone to help keep jobs on track and meet expectations.
Hours of Work: Mon-Thurs 8.00am-4.30pm and Fri 8.00am-4.00pm
Contracted Hours: 39.5 hrs per week
Job Responsibilities
- Support the technical team through the accurate and timely processing of quotes and sales orders in line with company procedures.
- Chase leads for the technical team and record progression on the CRM system.
- Work closely with the production supervisor to input confirmed orders onto the Gantt chart and organise schedules to help ensure customer requirements are met.
- Liaise with procurement to help ensure incoming materials needed for production are on track.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve day-to-day queries.
- Identify potential risks to agreed delivery timeframes and escalate concerns to management where appropriate.
- Monitor production lead times and communicate updates to relevant internal departments.
- Coordinate daily pallet shipments, accurately input information to reflect site requirements allowing for successful delivery.
- Coordinate international dispatches, liaising with freight forwarders and ensuring required documentation is prepared in advance.
- Support the company’s improvement procedures by raising issues for investigation to help prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records across internal systems, CRM platforms, and filing processes.
- Support the wider team with general administration, holiday cover, and day-to-day operational tasks as required.
- Opportunities for progression into technical estimating, or advanced production planning and logistics with greater operational and commercial responsibility.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required
- Experience in order processing, customer service, or coordination role, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Experience arranging deliveries or logistics administration would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Good communication skills and confidence liaising with internal teams and customers via phone.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and escalate where appropriate.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office and internal systems, particularly Excel and Outlook.
