As we continue to grow, we’re now looking for an experienced and commercially driven Internal Sales Manager to lead our internal sales team and maximise performance across all conversion sales activity.
Role Overview
The Quality Control Operative is responsible for ensuring that all vehicle builds, modifications, and installations meet company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Working within the production environment, the role focuses on inspecting completed vehicle bodies, systems, and installations to verify build accuracy, workmanship, and compliance before vehicles are released for delivery
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection & Assurance
- Conduct detailed quality inspections of completed commercial vehicle builds, including bodywork, mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electrical installations.
- Inspect vehicle conversions such as lutons, dropsides, platforms, and curtain siders to ensure builds meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Verify all work has been completed in line with job cards, technical drawings, and build instructions.
- Ensure all vehicles meet required quality standards prior to final sign-off and release for delivery.
- Identify defects, incomplete work, or non-conformities and ensure corrective action is taken
Build Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all vehicle builds comply with company procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Confirm that components, fittings, and installations are completed correctly and securely.
- Check that all required documentation, including build sheets and inspection records, are completed accurately.
- Support compliance with manufacturer requirements and industry standards where applicable.
Production Support & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with production teams to maintain high build standards.
- Provide feedback to workshop teams regarding quality issues or recurring defects.
- Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement aimed at improving build quality and production efficiency.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Complete quality inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Ensure all inspection documentation is stored correctly and available for audit or traceability purposes.
- Record any defects or rework requirements clearly and communicate them to the relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate records of quality checks and vehicle sign-off.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Adhere to company housekeeping standards and policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in quality assurance or inspection within a manufacturing or automotive environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues and defects.
- Ability to read and interpret job cards, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong organisation and documentation skills
