Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Teacher to join our Summer School programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons to children of various ages, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Duties
- Plan and deliver dynamic English language lessons tailored to diverse age groups, including toddlers and older children
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special educational needs and disabilities
- Support individualised learning programmes through tutoring and personalised assistance
- Create a nurturing environment that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment in learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging educational activities and resources
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Maintain a safe, organised classroom environment that promotes inclusive learning practices
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education, tutoring techniques, and working with children with disabilities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching English or working with children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of special education principles and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging children effectively and building positive relationships
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for learners requiring extra assistance
- Prior experience caring for toddlers or working in early childhood education is advantageous
- Relevant qualifications in teaching, special education, or child development are preferred but not essential
- A compassionate approach combined with organisational skills and patience is essential for success in this role
