You must:
· Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification.
.You must have a sound understanding of Safeguarding
· Be flexible and creative and have the commitment to provide first class childcare.
· Have the ability to promote good practice in a professional manner.
· Have gained experienced within a nursery setting.
Your role will include:
Ø Working with children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years
Ø Meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual children
Ø Providing all aspects of care/support to children, ensuring they take part with day- to- day learning and play activities.
Ø Ensure that the setting is safe, clean and well presented.
Ø Collaborate with colleagues ensuring the highest standards of work are carried out throughout your role in a positive manner.
Ø To plan a high-quality caring environment for children. This includes creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.
Ø Have a sound understanding of the EYFS
Ø To be able to observe and map children’s development.
Ø Attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas.
Ø Be able to understand and implement the setting’s confidentiality policy.
Ø Contribute towards an effective and supportive team environment.
