The Role
We are looking for a reliable, conscientious and detail-focused Part-Time Picker, Packer & Checker to join our team within our busy Trade & Distribution Centre.
Our Trade & Distribution Centre is the engine room that powers both our retail and wholesale e-commerce stores. Every day, our team ensures that customer orders are picked accurately, checked carefully and packed securely before making their way to customers across the UK and around the globe.
We're looking for someone who understands that accuracy matters. A small picking error can have a knock-on effect for our customers and our wider business, so having a keen eye for detail is an absolute must.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately picking products from customer orders
- Checking picked orders against invoices and order documentation
- Carrying out detailed final checks before orders are dispatched
- Packing orders securely and appropriately
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies
- Working efficiently to meet daily dispatch deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting the wider Trade & Distribution team where required
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- Extremely detail-oriented, with a genuine eye for accuracy
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Organised and methodical in their approach
- Adaptable and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes fast-paced environment
- Able to follow processes and instructions carefully
- Capable of working independently while being part of a small team
- Physically comfortable with a role involving standing, walking and handling packages
- Someone who takes pride in getting things right first time
Experience Isn't Everything
What you bring to the team is just as important to us as what you've done before.
Previous experience in picking, packing, warehousing or distribution is useful, but it isn't everything. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
Our business can be busy and our requirements can change, so adaptability is key. We value people who can learn new processes, respond positively when priorities change and are willing to get involved wherever they're needed.
If you're someone who takes pride in your work, pays attention to the details and is prepared to learn, we'd much rather meet you than simply judge you by your previous job titles.
Working Hours
The position is 22.5 hours per week, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
There may also be opportunities to work additional hours to cover staff holidays, where this is mutually agreeable and suitable for both the business and the employee.
