Class 1 HGV Tramping Driver
· Monday to Friday (48 hours guaranteed)
· Salary: £17.04 per hour, basic salary £42,500
· £18.74 per hour after 51.75 hours
· Performance bonus
· £24.50 per night out
· Full time, permanent role,
· Own wagon to look after
If you hold an HGV Class 1 licence and a Driver CPC, please get in touch without delay. As well as your excellent driving, communication and customer skills, national multi-drop experience would be a great asset. If you have at least 12 months recent and continuous Class 1 driving experience, your skills are sure to be highly valued.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Collection and delivery of products nationwide
Securing of loads to ensure loads are delivered/distributed safely
Supervision of unload at customer premises, watching for damage and to ensure correct goods are taken off by customers
Delivery papers to be signed by the customer before leaving site
Adherence to Tachograph and WTD legislation at all times
Maintenance of communication with transport office to ensure any delivery issues such as later running can be proactively communicated towards customers
Help to maintain vehicles in roadworthy and legal condition with daily walk round checks and defect reporting
