MEZCAL at The Fort
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at Mezcal as a CDP . The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic kitchen environment, in what is arguably glasgows best steak house , the rate will have service charge and grats inclusive.
Weekly pay.
40 to 48 hrs per week
NO LATE FINISHES,
9.30pm latest, away by 9pm most days

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients an.d cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in the presentation and garnishing of dishes to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all stages of food preparation
- Support team members during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Manage stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for efficient operation
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout all tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
