Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on various vehicle systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tyre changes, and fluid checks to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Repair or replace faulty components, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension parts.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment repair, welding, and other physically demanding tasks.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed on each vehicle.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role with a strong mechanical background.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical diagrams for vehicle systems.
- Hands-on experience with assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive components using hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate welding equipment when necessary.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- MOT Tester status is an advantage but not essential.
Hours - Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
