Warehouse Operator / Forklift Driver
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Warehouse Operator / Forklift Driver to join our fast-paced team.
This is a hands-on role involving warehouse operations, forklift and pallet truck duties, stock handling, order picking, loading and unloading deliveries, and general warehouse support. The ideal candidate will be organised, physically fit, safety-conscious and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and pallet truck safely and efficiently to move and organise stock.
- Load and unload deliveries safely and accurately.
- Receive, check and organise incoming stock.
- Pick and prepare customer orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Pack and label products correctly for dispatch.
- Organise stock within the warehouse and maintain an efficient storage system.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies to management.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure correct stock rotation.
- Work across freezer, chilled and ambient warehouse areas as required.
- Carry out morning warehouse checks and ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
- Assist with loading delivery vehicles and ensure goods are secured appropriately.
- Handle products carefully to minimise damage and maintain product quality.
- Complete general warehouse duties, including cleaning and maintaining an organised work area.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work efficiently under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and other departments.
- Assist with general retail or store duties when required by management.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the smooth operation of the warehouse.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Valid forklift licence is highly desirable.
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift is an advantage.
- Previous experience with pallet trucks and warehouse equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to work in cold and freezer environments.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting up to 25 kg.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking and checking orders.
- Basic maths and stock-counting skills.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are highly desirable.
- Willingness to follow health and safety procedures and company policies.

Working Hours
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Location: In person – Newport
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Full flexibility from Monday to Sunday is required, including availability for weekends and different shifts according to the business rota.
