Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 ADR Driver for our customer in Burntwood. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) to deliver palletised goods efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with a proactive attitude, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution operation and be part of a team that values professionalism and dedication. 7 am start, no nights out, curtain side, local multi drop (8-10 drops local) must have adr licence. Earning potential £750-£950 per week, immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, including cutainside trucks, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at designated locations
- Secure loads properly, ensuring cargo integrity during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and delivery paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Experience with delivery routes, route planning, and time management skills
- Ability to secure loads properly on flatbeds and handle physical aspects of loading/unloading when necessary
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively
- Valid ADR Licence
