looking for an exceptional coach to join our team on a Monday after school 4-7pm and Saturday 9am-12.30, Sunday 9-12pm.

HOURS ARE BASED AT YEHUDI MENUHIN SCHOOL- STOKE D’ABERNON, COBHAM, KT11 3QQ
We are a private run swim school with classes running throughout the year mainly following term times of the schools. We are looking for a fully qualified Swimming Teacher to become one of our fantastic instructors.
This highly rewarding role involves teaching both young children from 3 years and upwards to our club swimmers. This will involve teaching from Duck 4 level through to Stage 6/7 of the ASA swimming standards.
You must be confident and skilled in teaching these age groups in a fun, safe way and also gaining results from the lessons. We have small groups, max of 5 students in the class. We are looking for a teacher that can excel in the water with the students. We also teach in the water but for club swimmers and stage 4 plus you can teach from poolside.
Our ideal candidate loves toddlers and young children, loves the water and believes passionately in what we do. Plenty of enthusiasm, reliability and flexibility are also essential qualities. You must possess a reliable car for work and be an excellent communicator.
You must care about your work and show commitment to our school. We are looking for a candidate that is organised and has a low sickness record, and has very little time off work. You must arrive on time for lessons, setting up and packing equipment away neatly, lock up when required and laising with the manager over the classes so that all lessons run smoothly.
Qualification Required:
You must hold a level 2 ASA teaching qualification , Level 1 will be considered and have sufficient knowledge in teaching from Duck4 level- Stage 6/7. You will be required to demonstrate this by carrying out a pool lesson.
You must hold or be willing to undertake a course to achieve your teacher rescue award. If you already have this please state on cv.
A DBS check will be required
You will be expected to attend an interview as well as shadow /teach in the water. If you are successful, you will be expected to undertake up to 2-4 hours training in the pool in order to learn Team Swim School’s techniques and lesson plans. For this you will be paid a training wage of £16ph.

Hours required to be filled are:
Monday 4.00pm- 7.00pm
Saturday 9.00am-12.30pm
Sunday 9.000am-12.00pm
Sunday hours are a priority. If you cannot make all the required hours please state what hours you can do.
Salary is between £28- £34 per hour for the right candidate. You will have a trial period of one term.
You will be paid £10 per day for lock up and cleaning.
Please note that this is a demanding position to be filled. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be able to use lesson differentiation in order to obtain good results and for the lesson to run smoothly. Clear and concise instructions to students and parents is key..
