Blondies is a busy, independent Cocktail Bar with an excellent drinks menu. It is located on Lark Lane, Liverpool's vibrant, bohemian hub, famous for its independent spirit, eclectic mix of bars, diverse restaurants, and quirky shops.
Blondies is looking to recruit a new member of the Shift Managing Team
Key Responsibilities and Duties include
- Drink Preparation: Mixing cocktails, pouring beer/wine, and preparing garnishes to high standards
- Customer Service: Greeting guests warmly, providing recommendations, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and handling table service
- Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar clean, washing glassware, restocking ice, spirits, and mixers
- Operations & Compliance: Handling cash and card payments using POS systems, checking ID for age verification, and following licensing laws
- Assist the GM in overseeing daily operations:
- Supervise and motivate staff, including servers and kitchen personnel, fostering a positive team environment
- Ensuring the smooth running of both day and night time shifts
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
- Assist with training staff on serving techniques, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation across all areas of the establishment
- Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Support promotional activities and contribute ideas for enhancing pub/restaurant offerings
Preferential Skills
- Proven experience in bar management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of drink preparation, bar techniques, and hospitality practices
- Experience in supervising teams and managing staff schedules effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and staff development
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- Familiarity with serving protocols and hospitality industry standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced cocktail bar or high-end environment is preferred
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding mixology, flavour balance, and drink garnishing is preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and ability to work under pressure
- Attributes: A "can-do" attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality
