CCT Venues is an owner managed, private limited company, trading since 2005 and operating two training and conference venues in the City of London. CCT Venues Smithfield and CCT Venues Moorgate operate as boutique-style venues with a broad client base, and the business has a strong reputation for customer service and first-class food & beverage delivery.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at CCT Venues Moorgate.
Reporting into the General Manager, you'll be responsible for the delivery and presentation of all catering provision on-site — ensuring food is prepared to a consistently high standard, beautifully presented, and fully compliant with food safety legislation.
This is a key role in shaping the client experience at CCT Venues Moorgate. From planning bespoke menus and managing food costs within budget, to leading and developing the kitchen team, you'll play a central part in maintaining the venue's reputation for excellent food.
Experience & Skill requirements:
This post requires:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume catering, hotel, or conference/events environment. This is essential.
- Strong menu planning and budgeting skills, with a good understanding of food costing and waste control.
- Up-to-date knowledge of food hygiene, allergen and health & safety legislation (including HACCP and COSHH).
- Proven experience managing and developing a kitchen team.
- A hands-on, client-focused approach with a genuine passion for consistently high food standards.
Remuneration and benefits:
- Salary £40,000 per annum.
- Participation in the Company Wide staff Bonus Scheme.

- A discretionary extra 2–3 days for Christmas closure, usually awarded annually company wide.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, full time. Shifts falling somewhere between 8am and 7pm depending on business needs. You may occasionally need to stay later for a client event, and very occasionally work a weekend — both of which are covered by time off in lieu or overtime.
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
