Key ResponsibilitiesBrewing & Production
- Carry out brews according to the agreed production schedule.
- Follow established recipes, specifications and brewing procedures.
- Complete all stages of the brewing process accurately and consistently.
- Monitor and record key brewing parameters throughout production.
- Ensure wort quality and target specifications are achieved.
- Carry out transfers, fermentation monitoring and other cellar operations.
- Assist with dry hopping, conditioning and preparation of beer for packaging.
- Support packaging operations when required.
- Complete accurate production and batch records.
Quality & Consistency
- Maintain consistently high standards across all beers produced.
- Follow brewery quality-control procedures and specifications.
- Identify and report any quality or production issues promptly.
- Carry out routine checks and measurements throughout the brewing and fermentation process.
- Work with the Head Brewer to minimise losses and improve production yields.
Cleaning & Brewery Standards
Maintaining an exceptionally clean and organised brewery is an important part of the position.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and sanitising brewing vessels and associated equipment.
- Completing CIP procedures correctly and safely.
- Maintaining cleanliness of tanks, hoses, pumps and production equipment.
- Keeping brewing and cellar areas clean, organised and ready for production.
- Following chemical handling and brewery hygiene procedures.
Efficiency & Waste
The Production Brewer will be expected to work efficiently and take responsibility for minimising unnecessary losses.
This includes:
- Working towards agreed brewhouse efficiency targets.
- Monitoring product losses throughout production.
- Minimising raw material, beer, water and chemical wastage.
- Reporting recurring production issues or inefficiencies.
- Supporting improvements to brewing and cellar processes.
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
