Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager 10pm-7am Monday-Friday to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong team management skills and a solid understanding of business processes within a logistics environment. This role requires the ability to operate warehouse management systems effectively. The Shift Manager will ensure that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely during their shift.
Duties
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and morale.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing heavy lifting tasks as required.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimise workflow and resolve any operational issues.
- Train and induct new employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and company procedures.
- Oversee the efficient use of MHE's and other machinery within the warehouse.
- Rebooking staff in at the end of shifts to ensure full staffing at all times.
- Liaising with onsite Manager's and Supervisors to maintain a full picture of what is going on site at all times.
- Reporting to Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in team management within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with business processes related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing logistics operations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Good IT literacy and previous experience with CRM/WMS would be beneficial.
