Sherborne Schools Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our Estates Team. Key Duties
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works across the Sherborne Schools Group estate.
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, stripping, and priming prior to decoration.
- Maintain classrooms, boarding houses, offices, communal areas, and other school facilities to a high standard.
- Undertake minor repairs associated with decorating works.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with planned maintenance programmes and respond to ad-hoc maintenance requests as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Estates Team and wider school community.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Knowledge of painting, decorating, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements within the workplace.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
