Part Time Gym Assistant at Lift Haus Fitness.
A Gym Assistant ensures smooth operations. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, member assistance, and administrative tasks. They uphold cleanliness standards, provide customer service, and support fitness trainers.
Responsibilities
- Assist members with gym equipment and answer any questions they may have
- Clean and sanitize gym and facilities daily
- Monitor gym equipment and report any maintenance issues to management
- Enforce gym policies and rules to ensure a safe and respectful environment
- Assist with setting up of gym classes
- Keep inventory of gym supplies and advise management
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the gym
- Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests whilst managing reception
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to engage with gym members and provide excellent customer service
- Possess the capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Knowledge of fitness equipment and ability to assist members with their workouts
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gym
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support fellow gym staff
- Basic computer skills to assist with member check ins and scheduling
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Physical fitness and ability to lift weights and perform basic exercises to demonstrate proper form to members.
- Capable of promoting gym membership packages and merchandise
- Understanding of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

Job Types: Employed Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 15-20 hours per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Lutterworth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Driving Licence held
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
