Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be adept at installing, repairing, and maintaining various plumbing fixtures and systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes during all plumbing work.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required for the installation of large fixtures or equipment.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is beneficial for certain plumbing applications.
- Ability to plumb various types of fixtures including sinks, toilets, and showers.
- Capable of assembling components efficiently while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Must have CSCS card, DBS and adiquate training for an plumber. MUST have own Van and tools.
